MONDAY—As of this morning, the annual Miss Information Pageant has been postponed for the foreseeable future due to lack of participants.
“We tried very hard to make it something that young people would want to have their names on,” says Sherry Triss, who founded the pageant in 2015. “But unfortunately trends move fast, and this one quickly fell by the wayside.”
Because of this unexpected turn of events, the 2019 Emet’s Crossing Regional Information Champion, Ashton Swinford, will retain the title of Miss Information.
“Honestly, I’m not mad,” says Ashton. “Well, I guess I’ll miss the thrill of competing, but winning by default is fine, too, so long as it still counts. I mean, you are still writing an article about this, right? Make sure to plug my show!”
Ashton Swinford is the host of her own weekly internet show, which releases new episodes every Wednesday over at www.missinformation.tv.
