Ashley Bancroft is the newest influencer to win over the hearts of the internet. However, she’s not being fueled by laughter or kindness—instead, she’s being fueled by spite.
We managed to get ahold of Ashley for an exclusive interview to tell us more.
“I think that, like, there are a lot of people that totally don’t get cancel culture,” begins Ashley, who is speaking with us through video chat. “It’s not about being angry and that’s it, it’s about being angry and using that anger to empower yourself!”
Ashley’s infamous livestream, #FineWhineFriday, encourages its viewers to get worked up about controversial topics in the name of fitness. She believes that by getting tense and then releasing that tension, you’re able to work out your body in ways that can’t be achieved by traditional means.
“I don’t get why it’s so controversial, but I mean, that’s good for the people getting worked up! The program isn’t about proving who is right or wrong, it’s just about, like, expressing your feelings and getting a hot bod, you know? And the best way to get worked up is to talk about topics that light a fire under you.”
Ashley herself does not condone harassment of any kind, and reportedly has never taken sides with her viewers at any point since the inception of the program. Instead, Ashley tries to be as open and honest as possible about her personal life to encourage others to be their best.
“Spite is, honestly, so powerful,” says Ashley as we near the end of our call. “It’s what allows people to move mountains AND their muffin tops. I can’t think of a better motivator to better yourself, so like, tell your readers to come check out my next stream, yeah?”
You can watch Ashley’s #FineWhineFriday stream every Friday at 7pm EST over at https://www.instagram.com/outragenationfitness/.
